Gossip - We all knew the NBA was a little bit shady when he came to their trades right? It's not a coincidence The Chicago Bulls, The Boston Celtics and The Lakers all have multiple championships. As the NBA evolves, so do the players. If you haven't noticed a lot of NBA players have been very vocal about where they want to play. The most recent gossip coming out of the NBA is Kyrie Irving wanting a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Right now nobody knows why Kyrie Irving wanted to distance himself from King James, I guarantee he will not be happy on his new team, The Boston Celtics.
In my opinion the Cleveland Cavaliers had no choice whether they wanted Isaiah Thomas on the team, it is clearly not a good fit for the Cleveland seeing how LeBron James likes to hog the ball just as much as Isaiah. Worldwide Spotlight will be the first website to let you know why Kyrie Irving didn't want to stay on the former championship team.
Enough about what's going on around the NBA, let’s talk about what's going down right now at NBA headquarters. Moments ago the NBA has released a statement confirming they have fined The Los Angeles Lakers organization $500,000 for tampering with Paul George. Many people are confused about what exactly that means, let me give you the quick run down of the $500,000 fine.
Magic Johnson recently went on the Jimmy Kimmel show to brag about his interest in the Oklahoma City Thunder guard Paul George. Magic Johnson being a general manager over in Los Angeles, has no authority or right to talk about a player on another team that could possibly persuade them to join their team. According to many sports media outlet websites, The Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinkamade called Paul George's agent to ask him about Paul George possibly joining The Los Angeles Lakers in the 2018 season when he is a free agent. This conduct is not allowed under the NBA rules, especially because Paul George is on a contract right now where he's playing for the Oklahoma City thunder.
Although The Los Angeles Lakers organization claims there is no evidence of trying to persuade Paul George of joining The Lakers, the NBA found a reasonable doubt to find the team the $500,000. Worldwide Spotlight has been following this story from the beginning, I will let you know if there is any more drama with Paul George or if he confirms he will join The Lakers in a 2018 season.
Keep in mind that Paul George made a statement months ago saying that he would like to play for L.A.
